There is no way that she will leave after "Casino Royale ~My Name is Bond~", and after the new top stars Serika Toa and Haruno Sakura's pre-debut performance "Xcalibur", she will leave at the official debut, or she will be transferred to another group at some point before that... But Takarazuka really loves "The Legend of King Arthur" lol. Tamaki Ryo's pre-debut was also mysteriously a French musical version of "The Legend of King Arthur". Speaking of "Xcalibur," the debut performance when the Cosmos troupe was formed 25 years ago was "Excalibur: Beautiful Knights," created by Koike Shuichiro based on the Arthurian legend. It was a safe performance, with a family musical feel, and I think it was a safe performance. I got the impression that it was made to be easy for top star Asato Suzuki, who wasn't very good at acting, to tackle and not make mistakes.

Zunko (Suzuki) was really beautiful visually and her singing was great, but her acting was weak and she could only express two things: grinning or getting angry? That's how I felt. The second lead, Wao Yoko, was clearly the villain, and the third lead, Kozuki Wataru, was the bard and storyteller, which was a theory-based setup. Princess Rosaline, played by Hanafusa Mari, was adorable. Her interaction with the wet nurse Nanette, played by Izumo Aya, reminded me of the exchange between Mimir, voiced by Izumo, in "Legend of the White Nights" (the work itself was a rare flop lol), in which Hana (Hanafusa) was promoted as a star troupe member, and Pixie.

In this performance, I almost fell for Asami Hikaru, who played James' friend Paul, but I managed to hold myself back just in time lol.

...So, it's the 25th anniversary of the Cosmos Troupe, so I think it would have been fine to re-arrange "Excalibur - Beautiful Knights" and do it, but the Korean version of "Xcalibur" is like, "I'm glad they spent money on Serika-chin all of a sudden." Maybe it also has the meaning of "sorry for keeping you waiting."

However, musicals from Korea have become quite popular in Japan recently. The same production company has already produced Japanese versions of "Mata Hari" and "The Man Who Laughs," both of which feature Takarazuka alumni. I also saw a musical in Korea some time ago and was surprised at how high the level was. The sets and costumes are surprisingly shabby (lol), but the actors are just amazing. I get the impression that there are far more talented actors than in Japanese musical actors. Recently, dramas that mainly cast musical actors have become hits, so the range is also wide. I would like to go to Korea to see musicals again, but the travel expenses are still high... Of course, it's not impossible to go, but when I think about how before the COVID-19 pandemic it was possible to go for just a few thousand yen one way, I'm hesitant...
